The museum also features portraits of Ottoman sultans and a miniature exhibition by contemporary artist Nusret Çolpan. The museum showcases the largest visual spectacle of Istanbul’s conquest, with the dome depicting the fall of Istanbul through sound, light, and visuals. Scenes from the film "Sultan Mehmed’s Dream" transport visitors to the day of the conquest.
Panorama 1453 is the world’s first full panoramic museum, covering 2,350 square meters and providing a 360-degree visual show. Restored by Kültür AŞ, an affiliate of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the museum offers a 3D museum experience through its "Sultan Mehmed’s Dream" visual show.
Located near the Edirnekapı, Topkapı, and Silivrikapı walls, and adjacent to the gate where Sultan Mehmed entered the city, the museum is set on a 38-meter-wide hemisphere. Its panoramic design draws visitors in from every angle, integrating mapping technology to merge history with modern technology. The museum invites visitors to witness "Sultan Mehmed’s Dream." The mapping show highlights the transition from Constantinople to Istanbul, visually presenting the step-by-step realization of Sultan Mehmed’s passion for conquering Constantinople and shedding light on historical details.
